Mayer Brown's antitrust team has been recognized in the 'Behavioural matter of the year - Europe' category of the Global Competition Review Awards 2024 for its successful defence of Intermarché in the French supermarkets dawn raids case, together with the firms representing the other parties involved. It was the first ever case where the European Court of Justice entirely annulled inspections organized by the European Commission for lack of sufficient grounds, which is a fundamental safeguard of EU law in relation to such investigations, which are particularly burdensome and intrusive for companies and individuals.

Our team was led by partners Nathalie Jalabert-Doury and Jean-Maxime Blutel.
