SAN DIEGO - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues its strategic growth with the addition of Matthew Short in its San Diego office. Short is joining the firm as a shareholder in its corporate section and will lead the firm's corporate practice in California. He will be joined by Andrew Parsons who joins the office and section as an associate.

Short focuses on the representation of companies in their formation and organization, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate matters, with significant specialized experience working with technology, digital marketing, healthcare and financial services clients. He also has extensive experience designing and implementing executive and equity-based compensation arrangements for private and public companies. He also acts in an outside general counsel capacity for many clients. He holds an LL.M in Tax from Georgetown University and a law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Parsons represents corporate, private equity, and institutional clients in merger, acquisition and sale transactions. He counsels clients through the entirety of the M&A lifecycle. He has managed many successful closings of sophisticated corporate transactions, and counsels clients as to the closing process and post-closing integration. He serves private equity funded firms and clients in the healthcare industry. He holds a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
