Hatstone Lawyers has been shortlisted for the "Technology Innovation of the Year" award at the Citywealth Magic Circle Awards 2016. The award recognises the firm's commitment to implementing innovative technology solutions that support its business and clients.

The firm is the first all-Apple based law firm in the Channel Islands, something which is far more common in the United States. In 2013 the firm invested heavily in a bespoke document and email management system called "DocMoto". The new system has increased working efficiencies and productivity.

Phil Stone, Head of Information Technology, said:

"DocMoto allows, where appropriate, our clients to have full access to their legal files, to upload, download and simply review documents in real time. Our lawyers can even access their client files from their iPhones, over a secure link, when they are on the move".

In 2015, the firm invested in a new time recording system, accessible via the Internet (even from an iPhone), meaning it is now possible for its lawyers to record their time accurately from wherever they are based.

Commenting on the nomination, Group Partner Carl O'Shea said:

"We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the Technology Innovation Award. The nomination recognises the Firm's continued investment in technology solutions, systems and operational excellence. I would like to thank Phil Stone and his team for their continued efforts to make our jobs simpler through sympathetic technology solutions".

Voting closes on 20th April and the winners will be announced in May. To show your support for Hatstone Lawyers please click here.
