Have you had any issues in obtaining funding?
We are increasingly coming across groups who are facing hurdles
in accessing the Community Housing Fund. It seems that, in
some areas, Homes England want to funnel capital funding through a
local authority and require that local authority to guarantee that
the development will happen. Unsurprisingly, local
authorities, however supportive of community-led housing in
principle, do not feel able to guarantee a project with which they
are not involved and have no control over.
If you have come across this or any other issue we would be
interested to hear from you and please email communityledhousing@wrigleys.co.uk. Let
us know your experiences and if anyone has found a resolution to
the Homes England requirements of the local authority, we will
spread the word.

about your specific circumstances.
